Hi, this is my 1st post. I am a big U of L fan. I have some of the old 1988 cards in mint condition & I want to trade with other fans who may have some. I'm not selling any of them I just have a few that I need to complete my collection. I have some autographed cards to trade also. Hit me up if you have some to trade.

Cisco's had a pretty good week out in Sacramento. He's getting double digits and averaging almost 40 minutes and 6 rebounds/game. He even recorded a double-double (21/10) against the Suns the other night.

U of L vs. Virginia Tech @ 12:30. Let's not expect anything spectacular, we are going against the #1 defense in the country + Marcus Vick, but nonetheless GO CARDS!!

http://www.courier-journal.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20051220/SPORTS02/512200427 I think this is a good idea. I really don't think Dean should be playing point. Jenkins drives entirely too much when he touches the ball. Gianiny seems to fit well in the 1 spot simply because he can fill the role without having any high-scoring ambitions. |

not looking too good at the half. but then again, it seems like the past few times we've played UK someone's jumped out to a big first half lead and let it slip away in the second so i hope we can pull it together. i'm sure coach has something up his sleeve. we'll get david padgett back also, that could help. go cards! |

The bookies are picking uk to win by 3 points. Of course in my betting I took the cards. I donno, uk will have that 23000 person strong sixth person, but still. It's tough to call. As long and deen can come threw we should be alright, but the whole home court, moris being re-instated in jan, etc. Nevertheless, this should be a great match! I'll be watching intently! -Johnny |

’Twas the week before Dream Game, and all through the Blue house Lots of Cat fans were stirring, sayin’ Tubby’s a louse Their heads are hung low, after IU brought despair With no hope in sight, ‘cause St. Rick soon will be there Cat fans lay awake, just shaking in bed While visions of Shegari air balls, dance in their heads Sayin’, “Sparks is a Turd, this team is for crap, We were creamed by the Hoosiers, I need a long winter’s nap.” On the message boards and talk shows, there arose such a clatter ‘Cause ‘Ol Rick’s gonna hand 'em, their ass on a platter Cat fans have now turned on their own, they’re not talkin’ trash They’ve thrown in the towel, and it’s Tubby they bash The dawn of a new season, and the new AP Poll Gives the Cat fans visions, of a new NIT low Soon, what to their wondering eyes will appear A man with dark hair, and lots of good cheer With Willard and Menzies, so lively and quick They’ll know in a moment it must be St Rick More rapid than Hoosiers his Cardinals they’ll come And he’ll whistle, and shout out, “Beat the Cats like a drum!” "Now Taquan! Now, Tello! Now, Padgett and Jenkins! On, TWill! On, Johnson! On, Perrin, keep Pressin’!” All over the court! Keep their backs to the wall! Now dish away! Hit the Trey! Bang Boards for the ball!" As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly Cat fans see big trouble, in Rick’s Cards who can sky Soon down to Rupp the Cards they will swoop With Rick’s bag full of tricks, and all of his troops Yes, soon, in a twinkling, they’ll hear on the roof The dribbling and footsteps of Cards on the hoof Now they’re shakin’ their heads, with no hope to be found ’ Cause they know St Rick is soon to a bound He’ll be dressed in Armani, from his head to his toe And his team will be ready, to kick ass and roll No bundle of Toys will be flung on his back And he’ll look like a million, as the Cardinals attack His eyes-how they twinkle! His dimples-how merry! Their weakness he’ll expose, like Sparks and Shegari Our Top Ten team will kill ‘em they know Like Iowa, IU, and the Tar Heels, as they watch their season go The fuming of the Cat fans, makes them grit their teeth And the smoke it encircles their heads like a wreath They all have sad faces, and they’re sick to their belly 'Cause their Cats are as soft, as a bowlful of jelly! Led by Chubby and Sparks, a right testy little elf I laugh when I think of, the Cats in the NIT to myself! A wink of Rick’s eye and a twist of his head Will soon give them to know they have everything to dread He’ll have lots to say, and go straight to his work Of skinning the Wildcats, as they call him a jerk And laying his finger aside of his nose He’ll give them a nod, as from the Rupp court he goes! The Wildcats he’ll slay, then to his team give a whistle And away they’ll all fly, like the down of a thistle I can’t wait to hear him exclaim, as he drives out of sight, "Happy Cardinal Christmas to all, and to the Cats a good-NITe!" |

Good game last night, cards were slow to begin with, but like rick says, he wants the team to the a 2nd half team. I just hope that 2nd deal doesn't burn the boys in the ass at some point, but I'm sure it won't, I have faith, and go cards! -Johnny |

The boys were a little sluggish the first half of the game, but a good 2nd half. I was glad to see Dean back at the point he should be at, and glad to see he wasn't effected by the bumps to the knee on sat. Cards favored by 19 points tonight to beat the spiders. I'll give them 20 tonight. Go Cards! -Johnny |

Yesterday was a blast. At noon I lounging in Freedom Hall waiting for a great basketball game to begin, and I gotta say I was overwhelmed with our team. David Padgett's performance was stunning. Seriously I did not know dude was gonna be that good. My husband Brandon Jenkins also had a great game, he's really growing into a good player. Andre McGee and T-Will are transforming great under Rick's system. Andre is so quick on his feet and can defend really well. The power dunk by T-Will didn't hurt it either lol. I gotta say it was a great win, although I was upset that Dean seemed to hurt his knee a little, which slowed his usual amazing performance. Now, the football game versus UConn. You've got to take your hats off to Hunter Cantwell. This kid has thrown 11 passes throughout the entire season, he's a walk-on and he came in and did a great job. I'm not disapointed with anyone on our team, just the damn refs. That seriously was one of the worst officiated games I've seen. What really pissed me off was Montrell's TD callback. COMPLETE BULLSHIT. That was such a great catch, and never once did the ball hit the ground. If y'all were watching it, you could hear some of the players talking and Montrell told the ref, "The guy pushed me, I had the ball, it's a TD." Even the announcers said it was "indisputible." I'm glad we won, but those bullshit calls had me pissed. Still not sure who we'll be playing in the Gator Bowl, probably VT or Miami. I for one would much rather play Miami. Yet another basketball game against Arkansas State today at 7 p.m. See y'all at the hall! |

Brohm tears ACL, done for season By Eric Crawford ecrawford@courier-journal.com The Courier-Journal University of Louisville sophomore quarterback Brian Brohm has a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and will not return this season, according to football spokesman Rocco Gasparro. Brohm is expected to undergo surgery within the next two weeks and will miss all of spring practice, but is expected to return in time for preseason practice in August, Gasparro said. In addition to the torn ligament, Brohm also suffered a bone bruise and torn meniscus when he was tackled after a third-quarter run in Saturday’s win over Syracuse. Not exactly what I wanted to hear. I guess the only good news is that I did the same thing and was back within 5 months playing volleyball all with average doctors and trainers. Brian's got about 9 months with the best doctors and trainers you can get. Get well soon Brian. And speaking of injuries, will Bush be back next week at Connecticut? |
